Streamlining Information Technology (IT) Functions and Operating Model Across Group Case Study: PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk

Business entities are expanding their business portfolio by creating child and finally building a large entity known as Corporate Group, which is collection of parent subsidiary corporations that function single economic through common source control. The correlated issue derives from the existence Information Technology (IT) units in each company under group, IT functions still conducted maintained solely. This may lead to un-optimized resource assets (People, Application, Platform, Infrastructure) redundant Processes. Consequently, this phenomenon raises questions on how most suitable operating model should be designed adopted group among entities. paper intended design new model, define organizational structure possible integration between entities, obtain more effective shared service operation asset optimization across group. research infers basic management with an agile cyclic way working can considered alternative, development would process outsourced, rather than planning, design, change management, evaluation. In addition, approach using specialized federated organization suggested, emphasis promoting current provider specific services based strongest capability. As for company, empowering already possess expected capabilities core competencies will beneficial preferred appointing unit service.
